The available 7-inch, full-colour in-cluster display provides real-time information like temperature, fuel economy, tire pressure and engine performance. Tow and Haul with Confidence
All Ram 1500 models are built to haul heavy loads and deliver confident towing. The Ram 1500 can tow up to 10,640 lb (4,826 kg) and haul a payload of up to 1,880 lb (853 kg).
This superior performance is supported by the standard 4- and 7-pin wiring harness and available integrated Class IV hitch receiver and Trailer Brake Control system.
Leading Rear Suspension System
No other pickup in the half-ton class offers multi-link coil-spring rear suspension. Standard on every new Ram 1500, it delivers lateral stiffness and vehicle control that the competition just can't match. The ride quality is so good, it's the preferred spring configuration for rail cars.
Active-LevelTM Four-Corner Suspension
This Class-Exclusive system delivers greater control when towing, hauling and off-roading. Standard on the Rebel®, and available on several other trim levels, Active-LevelTM Four-Corner Air Suspension performs 2 important functions.
1. It maintains a steady level regardless of load, to maintain a constant driving profile and ideal headlamp-to-road angle.
2. It raises or lowers the vehicle depending on the need with 5 available modes for the driver to choose from.
4-Wheel-Drive Technology
The Ram 1500 features 2 shift-on-the-fly, part-time 4-wheel drive systems.
- The 4-HI setting locks both drive shafts for extra grip and pulling power on slippery, wet and loose terrain.
- The 4-LO setting has a 2.64:1 gear reduction ratio for increased power and grip to climb over difficult obstacles.
Advanced Braking System
Standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps you keep control in all driving situations.
ESC includes several subsystems such as Hill Start Assist, Antilock Brake System (ABS) and Trailer Sway Control.
When needed, they can automatically take action by applying individual brakes and/or reducing engine power to help keep control.
Parking Assistance Technology
The available Park-Sense® Front and Rear Park Assist System has got your back and front. Using radar sensors, this available system detects obstacles in your path - when in forward or reverse - and provides an audible alert that intensifies as you get closer.
An Extra Eye for Backing Up
Back up safely with the available ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera. It displays the area behind your Ram on the radio screen or rearview mirror.
With the 5-inch or 8.4-inch touchscreen, it also displays active grid lines to help you steer into position.
Available with the 8.4-inch touchscreen is view-at-speed capability, which allows you to monitor the rear in all gears - perfect for checking the trailer hitch when towing.
Trailer Brake Control
Keep your trailer in line with the available Trailer Brake Control system. It modulates the trailer brakes in relation to your Ram to help you maintain optimum stability when towing.
A switch in the Integrated Switch Bank activates the system and a display in the instrument cluster lets you know when it's in operation.
