The 2021 Wrangler 4xe Sets A New Standard For Hybrid Performance

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is an electrifying new addition to the beloved Wrangler lineup. Whether you’re already a fan of the Jeep Wrangler or you’re looking to learn more about the capable off-roading vehicle, the 4xe offers lots to get excited about.

The Wrangler 4xe is a plug-in hybrid model that promises all the power and performance you want. Now, you can get the same off-road capabilities you love while producing fewer emissions than before! In addition to new hybrid features, the Wrangler 4xe brings you refined aesthetics, advanced convenience technology and great safety features. Best of all, the 4xe is anticipated to hit showrooms in late this 2021 year.

So, do you think the Wrangler 4xe is for you? We’ll highlight some of our favourite features to show you why the 4xe is arguably the most fun you’ll have in a hybrid.

Iconic Jeep Wrangler Aesthetics

The iconic Jeep Wrangler style is enhanced even more in the 4Xe model. Some notable 4xe features include available 20” wheels, 4xe badging in place of the traditional 4x4 badging, and electric blue paint accents.

Additionally, you’ll have the great Wrangler exterior features you already love, like its tough body, reinforced front bumper and elevated wheel wells. You’ll also have removable roof options to make outdoor trekking even more fun.

Interior Luxury You’ll Love

The 4xe provides you with a modern, versatile and tech-savvy interior. No matter what your destination is, you’re promised a comfortable and refined experience behind the wheel.

Compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the 4xe’s touchscreen infotainment system puts your music and media at your fingertips. You’ll also have standard Uconnect technology, which not only offers great entertainment features but also vehicle information, like 4xe charge percentage, power flow, charging schedule and remaining range.

The interior even offers great storage options to ensure you can take everything you need with you. The Wrangler 4xe is equipped with durable mesh door pockets and a hidden in-floor storage bin in the trunk.

Power and Performance Redesigned

The Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine that delivers 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. You’ll find an electric motor mounted at the front of this Wrangler’s engine and another mounted in front of its 8-speed automatic transmission.

If you’re wondering how this mechanic combination fares against other gas-only-powered Wranglers, you might be surprised to learn that the 4xe proves to be more powerful. This plug-in provides better performance on and off-road and it gives you better mileage. In hybrid mode, you can expect a mileage of up to 640 km and 40 km on electric power only. Electric-only power is great for city driving or even quiet off-roading.

Of course, you’ll also have Jeep’s incredible 4x4 capability, too. With the 4xe’s 17 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, you’ll experience impressive power and torque distributed to each wheel as needed. The result: an amazing off-road experience.

To optimize your performance on every ride, the 4xe is equipped with E-Selec driving modes. Depending on the terrain and weather conditions, you’ll have a smooth drive, impressive handling and a fuel economy rating as good as 4.7 Le/100 km.

Wrangler 4xe Charging

Your Wrangler 4xe can be charged both at home and at public charging stations. At home, the battery can be fully recharged in approximately 12 hours using a Level I Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE) outlet at 115V. Level II ESVEs, found at public charging stations, can fully charge your 4xe within 2 hours.

Are You Ready to Get Behind the Wheel?

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is anticipated to hit showroom floors later this year. And when it does, you can be sure that this hybrid off-roader offers more power, more capability and more fun than any other Wrangler.

Fuel efficiency and reduced emissions are no longer a compromise for performance. So, to stay up to date on the latest Wrangler 4xe information.
